Typography Insight Makes Learning Fonts Gorgeous and Easy

Typography Insight, developed by Parsons design student Dong Yoon Park, is sort of like an iPad typeface encyclopedia. Only encyclopedias are boring, and Typography Insight is beautiful and fun. With a wonderful and decently responsive interface, you can beef up on type terminology  compare fonts with a nifty overlay mode, or just get all up in their perfect formed faces to appreciate and learn nuances. Park says the type trove will be available in the App Store "soon,"—though no word on whether it'll be a freebie or not. Either way, the guy's got a gift for interfaces, and made this typography geek very happy. (Typography Insight)

If the zoom on your iPad 2′s camera wasn’t enough then how about adding Brando’s iPad 2 Telescope to your iPad? It’s not exactly the most conspicuous looking addon but then again neither are most zoom lenses. For $26 what you are getting is a casing that attaches to the back of your iPad 2 which also features a slot where you would attach the telescopic lens which is positioned just above the camera lens. Amenbo, 5 Finger Mouse

Double Research & Development Co. has come up with a spanking new input device that it calls “amenbo”, where this unique device is capable of sensing movements and pressure of individual fingers. Complete hand movements can be directly input into the computer, from where it will be utilized in a range of applications that require complete hand recognition. Here’s what the manufacturer has to say about it, “We put a mouse sensor under each fingertip, and can input the coordinates for each finger as well as the downward pressure of each finger. This means that the actual hand motions are being input to the PC. For example, it is possible for the PC to receive the finger data for however many fingers are needed for an action, operating it with one or both hands.” All fingers are all linked by a flexible printed mesh base which is constructed from stretchable material in order to accommodate a variety of hand sizes. Cocoon Collection's Laptop Bags

Now here’s something interesting in the computer bags/cases department. A company called “Cocoon Innovations” will be introducing a new lineup of bags next week at CES 2009 called the “Cocoon” Collection. The collection will feature a complete lineup of laptop computer bags, totes, portfolios, and accessories for the digital lifestyle. What makes the bags unique is a propriety feature on the interior of each bag called the “The Grid”. The Grid is a proprietary “universal, elastic organization system” for “customized digital device storage.”.
