Convertible 2go Classmate PC from CTL

CTL (Computer Technology Link) is preparing its new 2go Classmate PC that is a tablet style netbook. The new 2go Classmate tablet will be powered by an Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of memory, and 60GB hard drive. It will feature WiFi 802.11b/g/n, and a 8.9-inch 1024×600 LCD display.

The convertible 2g0 PC has a rotating screen which easily converts from tradisional laptop format with keyboard entry to a resistive touch tablet. The included stylus allows control of the touch screen as well as digital pen text input. This convertible functionality enables a world of new usage option for use and control of the 2goPC.

Built-in accelerometer senses orientation and automativally switches screen between portrait and landscape mode. [CTL]

Amenbo, 5 Finger Mouse

Double Research & Development Co. has come up with a spanking new input device that it calls “amenbo”, where this unique device is capable of sensing movements and pressure of individual fingers. Complete hand movements can be directly input into the computer, from where it will be utilized in a range of applications that require complete hand recognition. Here’s what the manufacturer has to say about it, “We put a mouse sensor under each fingertip, and can input the coordinates for each finger as well as the downward pressure of each finger. This means that the actual hand motions are being input to the PC. For example, it is possible for the PC to receive the finger data for however many fingers are needed for an action, operating it with one or both hands.” All fingers are all linked by a flexible printed mesh base which is constructed from stretchable material in order to accommodate a variety of hand sizes. Cocoon Collection's Laptop Bags

Now here’s something interesting in the computer bags/cases department. A company called “Cocoon Innovations” will be introducing a new lineup of bags next week at CES 2009 called the “Cocoon” Collection. The collection will feature a complete lineup of laptop computer bags, totes, portfolios, and accessories for the digital lifestyle. What makes the bags unique is a propriety feature on the interior of each bag called the “The Grid”. The Grid is a proprietary “universal, elastic organization system” for “customized digital device storage.”.
