Bamboo Series Notebook from ASUS

THE notebook is not just looking green from the outside, but also on the inside and more, introducing Bamboo-Case Green Notebook from ASUS. The company claims throughout every phase of the laptop’s life – from its conception, production and use to its eventual recycling and disposal, the bamboo-clad laptop is truly green. In developing the laptop, the company enforced its management to utilize tools that strictly adhered to the green principles. The Bamboo Series Notebook will come in both 12.1- and 11.1-inch variants, weighing 1.57kg and 1.25kg, respectively. Both will feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors, DDR2 RAM, and LED-backlit displays. Amenbo, 5 Finger Mouse

Double Research & Development Co. has come up with a spanking new input device that it calls “amenbo”, where this unique device is capable of sensing movements and pressure of individual fingers. Complete hand movements can be directly input into the computer, from where it will be utilized in a range of applications that require complete hand recognition. Here’s what the manufacturer has to say about it, “We put a mouse sensor under each fingertip, and can input the coordinates for each finger as well as the downward pressure of each finger. This means that the actual hand motions are being input to the PC. For example, it is possible for the PC to receive the finger data for however many fingers are needed for an action, operating it with one or both hands.” All fingers are all linked by a flexible printed mesh base which is constructed from stretchable material in order to accommodate a variety of hand sizes. Cocoon Collection's Laptop Bags

Now here’s something interesting in the computer bags/cases department. A company called “Cocoon Innovations” will be introducing a new lineup of bags next week at CES 2009 called the “Cocoon” Collection. The collection will feature a complete lineup of laptop computer bags, totes, portfolios, and accessories for the digital lifestyle. What makes the bags unique is a propriety feature on the interior of each bag called the “The Grid”. The Grid is a proprietary “universal, elastic organization system” for “customized digital device storage.”.
